Eliminate Odors from Your Dwelling

White wine vinegar makes an outstanding air freshener by pouring some into a spray gun and spray neat into the atmosphere to kill cigarette, paint or cooking odors. Alternatively place a bowl of white wine vinegar into your living room overnight to soak up any such aromas.

The leftover grounds of coffee from an espresso machine produces a amazing air freshener. Leave the moist grounds in a bowl to soak up unpleasant odors. Soak up the odor of cigarette smoke by putting the grounds from the morning coffee in your ashtray.

Toothpaste can be used to polish your taps and wash ceramic tiles. Use car wax to eliminate marks and scratches on your fridge and washing machine. Keep your kitchen and bathroom tiles looking shiny and fresh for as long as possible by treating them with lemon oil. This will prevent water stains from building up.

To remove scuff marks on linoleum by rubbing the marks with nail polish remover on a cotton wool ball. The solvent in the nail polish remover will bring up the marks easily and quickly.

Lemon juice is also great for removing food odors from your hands or cutting boards.
